Zac Posen: Ready-to-wear AW16

Zac Posen is a designer in the old-fashioned sense. Meaning he genuinely designs his clothes – they’re the product of painstaking cutting and fitting, elaborate workmanship and embellishment, a link to the tradition of Seventh Avenue couture. For winter, Posen eased up somewhat – there were evening dresses, but none of the expansive gowns that have heard him credited as a latter-day Charles James. There was also a spick-span section of tailoring, which showed of Posen’s cut as something an everywoman could wear everyday. Ad, let’s be honest, what woman doesn’t want a great coat – especially in the coldest New York Fashion Week on record (or, at least, since last winter).
