Mr Porter and Mr Barrett have had a baby. It’s a beautiful six piece collection of “statement tailoring and chic sportswear shapes”. They’re ever so proud. And rightly so. The bomber jacket, suit jacket and trousers, shirt and T-shirt are, as Mr Press Release describes, both statement and chic. A shading effect covers the clothes – an effect which if in a work of art we might call chiaroscuro. If we were pretentious twats, that is, which we’re not, so we’ll call it shading. The collection walks a fine line between contemporary, appealing to both the young bucks and old stags. And it’s a collection that this particular young buck wants to get his hands on.
